The tank-less mosquito control misting systems are engineered to allow the ability to kill and control mosquitoes without having to measure and mix chemicals. The self-contained systems pump a concentrated insecticide into a vented mixing tank plumbed to water.
The barrel container pre filled. Then pumps through a small (1/4") tubing the recommended dilution rates for each insecticide corresponding to the number of nozzles in their system. At at 150 to 200 PSI. User charts inform the operator of the Once the control knob is set the machine will consistently inject and mix the desired ratio of insecticide and water during each spray cycle. Two minutes per day on average should provide good control after initial infestations are eliminated.
Mosquito controlled areas
Eventually (over the course of a few weeks) you will have eliminated all of the adult mosquitoes living within your area. Keep in mind Mosquito's may come as far away as 10 miles.
The insecticides approved for use in these systems kill insects after contact by affecting their nervous systems. No they do not become resistant to it.
Natural pyrethrum is low in toxicity and considered safer than synthetic pyrethrum also known as Permethrin. The reason is because after the natural solution dries it leaves no residual poison, which is not true of the man-made alternative. The new minimum risk organic insecticides approved for use in misting systems are non-toxic to mammals and therefore are the safest. All three chemicals are contact sprays, this means you are only killing bugs when the mist makes contact. Larvicide dunks available at most hardware stores should be placed monthly into areas that periodically collect standing water for a complete mosquito management program.
The vast majority of mosquito species tend to become active 1 to 3 hours before dusk and are most active at night feeding primarily on birds during the on 12:00 to 6:00AM time slot. There are also species that are active during daylight hours. Every property is a unique situation and to maximize the effectiveness you as the homeowner will need to experiment with the times you spray, for how long and at what strength. Excellent results can be achieved either by spraying more frequent shorter spray durations or longer spray times less frequently. You are the results barometer and should make the adjustments necessary to responsibly eliminate and control the mosquitoes in your particular area.
Safety:
The system incorporates an air-gap, which prevents contaminated water from entering the water supply line. Tremendous agitation takes place in our system during every spray cycle, which is required to produce maximum efficacy with safer, organic plant oil products. Additional benefits are consistent insecticide to water ratios and constant fluid turn over which eliminates fungus growth.
Economical and
environmental benefits: The system is at minimum 10% more
efficient than 55 gallon reservoir systems and delivers the
added benefit of chemical strength adjustment. This
exclusive feature allows the operator to determine the
minimum amount of insecticide required for effective
mosquito control. This practice will reduce operating
costs and is environmentally responsible.
System maintenance:
The barrel mosquito control misting machine requires the periodic cleaning of a stainless steel filter and a detachable mixing tank. Concentrated insecticide is easily replenished by pouring into a large mouth graduated 128 oz. container. The system is completely securable by utilizing a locking device. The clock is digital with a maximum of 8 on-off automatic settings each 24 hours. The clock has a rechargeable battery that will remember all settings if power is lost due to a power surge. The spray duration settings are from 3 to 100 seconds. A wireless remote control allows system activation at any time.
